The 2nd Greek Health Tourism Integration Conference is incorporated into - and is part of - the International Health Tourism Convention.
The decision to merge the two events was motivated by the fact that:
Athens had been chosen as the location for the 2015 International Convention
The two events had several common objectives
A number of the Issues and Topics to be addressed at the Convention have, both, an International and National Relevance and Impact
A Combined Event would offer the opportunity to Greek Stakeholders to benefit from exposure to and interaction with their counterparts from several other Health Tourism Destinations
One could exploit the benefits of "economies of scale", by pooling resources in order to finance a larger and more impactful Combined Event
It would avoid the "fragmenting effect" of staging closely-timed competing events at the same location
The aim of the Conference is to bring together the Greek Stakeholders of the 8 Health Tourism Segments, the several Sector-supporting Industries and Government / the State.
The objective is to get them to know each other, get to know about each other's Segment or Industry, interact and collaborate.
